Support Snooze Beauty Studio

My name is Amalia (Aya) and I am an independent salon owner of Snooze Beauty Studio located at Creative Workspace in Lynnwood, WA. I am a licensed esthetician and certified lash artist since 2016. I opened up my own small business because I am passionate about lashes and skincare. I currently specialize in classic and volume lash extensions, lash lifts, facial waxing and retailing skincare products - all things that help you snooze :)

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and direction from Gov. Inslee, I was forced to temporarily close my small business as of March 16 and do not know when I will be able to open back up, as beauty salons are considered non-essential. Although I am not performing any services or generating income, the costs for my business to stay afloat continue to rise. I am forced to pay rent and other operating costs in order to keep my business going throughout the closure. As a sole proprietor, I do not receive benefits that big businesses typically provide such as health insurance benefits, 401k retirement benefits, commuter benefits or paid time off. I also pay self employment tax and business insurance, on top of my own personal living and child care expenses.

I have applied for assistance and loans that I am eligible for but have not currently been approved for any sort of help. I normally wouldn't create a fundraising campaign but I am in need during this challenging time and figure any donations, big or small, will help at this point. If my small business raises $500 through this GoFundMe campaign, I may be considered to receive a $500 matching grant from the Small Business Relief Fund. #SmallBusinessRelief The money from this campaign will be used to pay rent and other expenses incurred during the time my studio was forced to stay closed. I am hoping to generate at least $500 in the next 10 days to pay for May rent at Creative Workspace.

I sincerely appreciate any donations and support you are willing to extend at this time!!! I would hate to have to close my business permanently due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and am going to work harder than ever to help my business survive. I am truly grateful for such loyal clients I have been blessed with since I first opened my business, some clients for almost 3 years now!! Many of you (you know who you are), I see more than my own family and friends. I truly enjoy the hours I get to spend talking with you and making you beautiful every few weeks! :) I cannot wait until I am back in the studio and able to serve you all.
