UPDATE: Shelley didn't make it. she is noonger in pain and free of this awful disease looking over us with her daughter! finally ruined with her daughter , my sister, Jessica giuffrida. so along with funeral cost, normal bills at home, and helping her husband get back on track anything helps!
Shelley has always been the heart of our family—a devoted mother, wife, and Grammy who has cared for all of us with unwavering love and kindness. She’s been the healthiest person I know, always putting others first and working hard to provide for me and anyone she cares about. Her generosity and spirit have touched everyone around her, and she’s truly the glue that keeps our family together.
In May, Shelley was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, and since then, our world has changed dramatically. She’s been in and out of hospitals, and just a few days ago, she underwent a very serious surgery that required the removal of her large intestine. Shelley is now in the ICU, facing complications and a long road to recovery. With her being the only one working in our home, we’re struggling to keep up with mounting medical bills, household expenses like electricity, oil, car insurance, and property taxes. When she comes home, she’ll need constant nursing care, medical equipment, and ongoing medications, all of which will be costly.
My father and I are doing our best to support Shelley and each other, but the financial and emotional strain is overwhelming. Even basic needs like groceries and gas to visit her in the hospital have become difficult to manage. Shelley’s journey to healing will be long—possibly months or years—and will require major changes to her lifestyle. Her greatest hope is to be back on her feet, enjoying time with her family. We’re asking for help to give her the best chance at recovery and to ease the burden on our family during this challenging time.
