Support Shawn Hackney's Road to Recovery

Hello friends, my name is Joy Pruitt. About 2 months ago, my son-in-law, Shawn Hackney, fell ill. When the pulmonologist was able to see him, his left lung was collapsing, leaving him with incredible pain. A chest tube was placed in his lung to keep it inflated and to keep the accumulation of fluid and excess air out of the chest cavity for about a week. This is agonizing and very uncomfortable. He had lung surgery this week to correct the issue. This has left him out of work for some time. He is still in incredible pain, but the physicians seem optimistic for a full recovery, though it is a long process.

In the meantime, mortgages and utilities need to be paid. They have a growing family with 2 kids. I know we are living in uncertain times, and everyone is struggling financially, but every little bit helps. I'm asking our community, our friends, and our family to please help them get through this difficult time. Tragedy can affect any one of us at any time, but it is the love, comfort, and support from the rest of us that feeds the power to overcome anything. Thank you for your help.
