Support Ron Saunders, Region Softball Coach
Donation protected
On November 30th, Ron Saunders (our dad) started his morning like normal and headed off to work for the day. Around 9:00 a.m. he began having extreme chest pain; luckily, he was near St. Mary's Hospital in Hobart and drove himself the few blocks to their ER. After several tests and many hours spent in the ER, they found multiple, severe blockages in his heart.
Ron will be undergoing open-heart surgery (triple bypass) on Thursday, December 3rd. He will spend at least the following week in the hospital and a minimum of 12 weeks focusing on his recovery. This means he won't be going to work or living at home; instead, he'll be staying with one of his daughters. We are hopeful that come March Ron will be coaching Boone Grove's softball team, just not as actively involved like he would like to be. We are unsure when he will be able to return to work.
Ron has always been there to support not only his kids and family but his community as well. He is expecting more than $10,000 in medical bills alone and has an extensive uphill battle ahead of him as he fights to recover. If you would like to show your support or help, any donation, no matter how small, is extremely appreciated and welcomed.
Our dad has done so much for his friends, family, and community over the years. Please help us show him how much we care for and love him and appreciate all he's done for those around him.
