Support Ron Beatty's Honor Ride for Blue Star Mothers

Hi,

My name is Ron Beatty and I have been an avid motorcyclist for more than 50 years. I have ridden on quite a few charity rides over the years to support various causes. I rode in the last Rolling Thunder in Washington, DC in 2019 where there were approximately 1.7 million people attending. It was an amazing event. That event has been continued as Rolling to Remember. This is how they describe their event on their website:

"Rolling to Remember is a massive motorcycle demonstration ride, starting in the Pentagon’s parking lot, rolling through Washington, D.C., demanding full accounting for America’s POWs and MIAs and to raise awareness of the mental health crisis stealing thousands of veterans’ lives a year."

Some of the participants in that event are the Blue Star Mothers of America. Blue Star Mothers are mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, legal guardians, etc., of soldiers, whether active duty, veterans, reserves, or otherwise serving our nation's military. Each year, there is a group of motorcyclists who are requested to be a part of the motorcade escorting those women on the parade route. Each motorcycle has a Blue Star Mother as a passenger as they ride through our nation's capital. I have the great honor of having been invited to be one of the escorts in the 2026 Ride to Remember. As a veteran, I fully support our military and nonprofits such as Blue Star Mothers who give of their time, money, and efforts to support our military soldiers and am extremely honored to be asked to provide escort for one of these mothers.

Many of these women have never ridden a motorcycle before, so instead of riding them on a two-wheeled bike, I will rent a three-wheeled trike to make it easier for them to take part in this event. The expense of that rental along with the cost of transportation and lodging will be in the thousands of dollars, so I need help raising the funds to take advantage of this opportunity. Any monies in excess of my own expenses will be donated to the Blue Star Mothers or retained in a separate fund if I am asked to continue to be a part of this escort group in upcoming years.
