The above couple are Robert and his partner Shelley. Recently Robert was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer and has long and tough road ahead.
I have been blessed to know Robert and Shelley for over 20 yrs now , Robert is a hardworking family man, who devotes his time to his family, friends, church and community and their business. They have struggled financially for most of their married life and have lived in their family home, passed down to Robert by his Grandfather. It has long been a dream of both Rob and Shelley to renovate their family home but between raising a family and selflessly giving to others less fortunate even if it meant they went without themselves . Spending their weekends organising,coaching, playing and umpiring with the Baptist Basketball Association.
I now feel like it's time to give a little back to Robert and his family and help support them through this new journey they are embarking on.
We would love to give Rob something he has long wanted since I've known them- an outdoor entertaining area and pergola, where Rob can sit with family and friends and take in the beautiful garden he has created.
As a community I am hoping we can raise $10,000 to build Rob his dream, as well as give support to him and his family at this hard time .
