As most places in Beirut,16MM is a labor of love. Opening our doors in October 2019 was a dream come true. Unfortunately, the dream was short lived after the horrific explosion that took place on August 4th in Beirut. The bar has suffered major damage being a kilometer away from the explosion. Our team was thankfully safe.
Sadly and similar to most places in Gemmeyze specifically 16MM has been severely damaged. Imagine "Central Perk" from friends, or the bar from "Cheers', where friends used to gather and spend wonderful times together destroyed. Due to the lingering economic crisis in Lebanon, the pound devaluation and Covid-19 we have endured countless tragedies.
When the time is right, 16MM would like to rebuild to offer friends, family, the beautiful Lebanese people and beyond a place of comfort. We are kindly asking for the friends and family of 16MM to help us and support 16MM. Please share and donate to help us get back on our feet again.
In addition, a proportion of the donations raised will go to HIMAYA an organisation who has historically helped children suffering from abuse in Lebanon and currently working to help children affected by the Beirut explosion.
