Support Pamela's Children

My big sister Pamela Vestal lived a courageous life. After losing her first husband in a car accident, she moved to Texas to start a brand new life. She bought a house and found a job and began rebuilding her life. One of the few friends she took to Texas with her, Bradley, became her husband. They tried for years to have a child and were unsuccessful. Together, they courageously decided to open their hearts and home to foster children.  They fostered many and finally got to keep Alexandra as their own. Just weeks after Pamela and Brad found out they were going to be able to officially adopt Alexandra, they found out Pamela was pregnant. Ethan was born premature on July 25, 2005. Ethan grew healthy and strong. Then, about a year later, they were blessed yet again when they were contacted to take Alexandra’s baby sister Gracie. My sister’s courageous heart gave she and Brad a full family! Unfortunately, they had many tests to endure. Pam suffered from a burst aneurism in May 2012. She fought hard and survived with little to no side effects. Because of the medical costs associated with her aneurysm, they suffered financial hardships. In the last year, they were able to get a new house and finally feel financially stable again.
On Monday, July 17, 2017, Pamela was feeling ill and even got sent home from work. She came home and took a long nap. Worried for her, Brad woke up a confused woman asking questions about people Brad did not know. Thankfully, he immediately took her to the emergency room. By the next morning, Pam could not speak and had lost all motor function in the right side of her body. That afternoon, she was airlifted to Dallas, Texas to the hospital where her aneurysm was treated five year ago. On Wednesday, July 19, 2017 the doctors performed an emergency operation on her brain expecting to find a tumor causing the stroke symptoms she was presenting. Finding no tumor, no brain bleed, and no new aneurysm, the doctors concluded that she was suffering from encephalitis, an infection causing the brain to swell.  The doctors were baffled how someone so young could deteriorate so quickly. After a week of treatment following the surgery, Pamela was not responding with any neurological awareness; she had been unconscious since Tuesday, July 18, 2017.  Under the advisement of the doctors, we decided to let her go, to go live with her savior. Pamela died on Saturday, July 29, 2017. She was a loving sister and daughter.
Along with me and her parents, she leaves behind a loving husband Brad and three children, Alexandra (13 years), Ethan (12 years), and Gracie (10 years). Pamela was the matriarch of her family. Of course, they will need support as they make sense of a life without Pamela. I am writing to all of you to give what you can in order to cover any lingering medical expenses and fill the gap of lost wages. I know that anything you could provide would be most appreciated.
