The American Hiking Guides Association (AHGA) was founded in 2010 and has been providing formal training for hiking & backpacking guides in the United States. We operate on public and private funding. This is what helps us move forward into the future. This is also how we are able to provide quality training for guides looking to start a career in the trail discipline.
