About Us

I’m James Mellor from Rainbow Trout Films and I’ve been in the film/tv industry for nearly 30 years. This will be my second crowdfunded project. The first was the Inflight Food Trip series which has now been seen in 116 countries around the world.

We have made this campaign flexible with some very high aspirations for the documentary film. What I love about this project is that it’s not just about the sport, but it’s about the town. Halifax, where I was born, where my business is and how we are proud of what Halifax stands for and where it’s going. I believe we can create an award winning film that we can be proud of.

We would like to also thank the Community Foundation for Calderdale through the Halifax Supporters Trust, whom helped get this project off the ground initially. And to everyone who has supported myself and Linda so far on this journey.
