Support NU LGBTQ Grads' Celebration

We are a group of Northwestern seniors working to make graduation a celebratory time for ourselves and other LGBTQ+ grads. Because of federal funding cuts, Lavender Graduation, the typical celebration for LGBTQ+ graduates has been canceled, and there are no announced clear plans for how queer students will be able to celebrate and be celebrated. Because of this, we are working to raise funds to host an off-campus celebration.
Our different goals:
- For $1000: We can partially reserve a bar and hire a DJ
- For $2000: We can partially reserve a bar, hire a DJ, and provide drink tickets for the first 50 students who register
- For $3000: We can partially reserve a bar, hire a DJ, provide drink tickets to the first 50 students, rent a bus to shuttle students to and from campus, and decorate
As we continue to live in unprecedented times, it is a stressful time to be graduating from university and, for many in our community, an increasingly dangerous time to exist in this country. Please consider donating to give us the opportunity to celebrate all of our accomplishments over the last four years with pride!
