Support non-DACA youth finish her studies
Due to a series of life circumstances that involve deaths in the family and other emergencies, my sister’s mental health was not in the greatest place for her first year at UC Riverside. Unfortunately, this all led to her losing her financial aid.
She’s since then done a lot of healing and is ready to go back to school, but in order to regain her financial aid status she has to retake a few classes. This means we have to pay tuition out of pocket, and since she’s undocumented and doesn’t have DACA, she has been unable to work. We have been able to pay for most of the tuition so that she can return back to her studies. However, we’ve reached our capacity as to how much we can support and want to reach out to community for help!
All money will go directly to her tuition sum, given that my dad and I will be able to support her on the other financial needs that might pop up throughout her time at UC Riverside.
