Support Nicaragua's Injured and Wounded

With a reform to the social security in Nicaragua last year in April 18th 2018, a group of elderly started to protest for the new reform, and they were attacked by young people pro-government. The next day, a crowd of people made a march in favour of the elderly and for three months a march was held all around Nicaragua. The government was outraged and  started to attack to the citizens with the national police and paramilitary. Today, just 10 months later, there have been somewhere between 350 to 550 people murdered, wounded and more than 600 people have been arrested.

Nicaragua is in need of external funds because there are people in need of care with little resources to help.  Those who have been bullet wounded are very poor and can not go to a public hospital. Alternatively, they are sent to private hospitals but the costs are not free. These poor and wounded people are having to pay for private tests and medicine which is hard to come by given the current state of the county. Many people are still wounded and injured without treatment all over the country. They need medical attention. 

A dear friend and wonderful Nicaraguan woman whom I met last year is asking for help! Those who have been injured  are children, fathers, mothers and grandparents. They are people! Unfortunately they have low economic status, are unemployed, or previously worked for the government which didn't support this repression. Any and all donations will go toward funding a small group of Nicaraguans who are working together with volunteer medical professionals to help treat those who have been injured by the attacks. I will be personally withdrawing these funds directly into my bank account which will be delivered directly to my dear Nicaraguan friend's account. From there, she will work with her team to purchase medical gear for those in need.
