Support My Family After Criminals Stole and Wrecked Our Car

Hello everyone, my name is Austin Campbell -- my family and I have become a victim of both vehicle theft and the corrupt insurance system.

Last night, at 12:15 AM, less than 20 minutes after I turned the lights off in my house, two young men wearing shiesty style ski masks broke into my wife's car and found a hidden spare key in the vehicle. These two outstanding gentlemen then proceeded to go on what was undoubtedly a drunken joy ride which resulted in the two of them rolling the car three times off of an embankment and totaling our family vehicle.

Unfortunately, neither men were caught thus far, and sadly, appear to be entirely unharmed -- they fled through the broken sunroof, slithering out like the snakes they are.

We are by no means a wealthy family. Both my wife and I came from lower income families in Hurricane Helene ravaged Western North Carolina. I served in the US Air Force to better our future and ended up disabled during my time in service. My wife and I have worked incredibly hard for everything that we own, and this car was the nicest thing my wife has ever owned, after years of difficult blue collar, hard American work and effort. A reminder that with enough effort in this country, you can be whatever you want to be.

I don't expect help from strangers, and we feel highly uncomfortable asking for money from the community. But, I find it morally repulsive that our legal system has failed victims of these sorts of crimes far too often.

If you would share even a few dollars to help my wife, myself, and our 20-month-old daughter afford to perhaps be able to make a down payment on a new vehicle, your contribution would help another hardworking family just like your own.

Funds will go to the down payment on a new car so my family can get to all our baby's doctor appointments.
