An update from my brother:
"It is hard to come up with the right words to thank you for all your support. My heart has been filled with a sense of peace and deep appreciation for all your help and support. Your support has given us hope that I could still be part of my little angels lives and to care and teach them the best I can. I pray that they will grow to be as thoughtful, loving, caring and generous as all of you.
I wanted to give you an update on my current situation. After receiving the Tcell immunotherapy treatment at NCI I received four doses of Keytruda which showed regression on 2 of the tumors. However, NCI stopped the treatment as Keytruda is not covered by the trial.
I have received some very good news this past week that NCI offered a different vaccine based immunotherapy trial that will be ready in a few months. Until then I need to stop the cancer from spreading further and slow the progression. The bad news is that insurance will not cover Keytruda. The plan will cover the same worthless chemo that did not show any benefits on my previous infusions which costs the same as Keytruda. For the moment I will schedule 4 Keytruda infusions with the hope that NCI vaccine get ready by the end of the fourth infusion. This will be very costly as on infusion is around $12,000 and we do not have the means to cover them. We are praying for another small miracle that often comes from the strength, love, compassion and humanity of people. Please keep us in your prayers and God bless you!......Armand

For those of you who know my brother, Armand Bregaj, you know that he is the most kind, loving, generous person. He is the father of 2 beautiful little ones and a great husband to Esmeralda.
Unfortunately 2 years ago, he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. It was a shock for all of us as he is so young. However, he is fighting this disease head on; 5 major surgeries, numerous chemo and recently immunotherapy at NIH and i have been there for every major treatment. It is the hardest thing to see your loved one go through so much. Even though he is trying everything, these treatments haven't been successful. My brother is now waiting and searching for new trials.
He is the sole-provider to his family, and even though i cannot imagine what he might be going through, he still works and carries on, never complaining. Your support will help tremendously with some of the trial travel costs and medical expenses. Please feel free to share.
