Support “Mr. Ron”, The Geechee Boy!

Ron Daise, who always gives, lives, and loves from the bottom of his heart, needs help for funding major heart surgery.
Many know him as "Mr. Ron" from Nick Jr.’s Gullah Gullah Island. Others know him as a Geechee boy from the Cedar Grove community on St. Helena Island. He is also a scholar, historian, educator, storyteller, songwriter, singer, author, father, son, uncle, cousin, brother, husband, deacon, friend, and a vocal member and advocate for the Gullah Geechee community.
Of the countless lessons he has passed on to so many, a few immediately come to mind: walk in faith, work vigilantly towards your goals, and the best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time!(This obviously refers to tackling a big task, and NOT to eating an actual elephant )
No matter the capacity in which he has touched your life, it has always come from a place of genuine love for his family, community; and from examples set by his own mother, who taught him to approach each job with excellence, no matter how small.
Our family was recently informed that Ron will need multiple bypass surgeries this October. Expected recovery will take at least 2-3 months, during which time he will be unable to work. We are asking for donations in order to offset hospital and medical costs. There is no gift too small. We are deeply grateful for your compassion.
