Support Moksha's Surgery to Gift her a Happy Life

Our little rescue cat, Moksha, whose name means, "Liberation", was liberated from a last chance rescue group eight years ago. She's our little bundle of joy, along with her sister, Jyoti, filling our house with love and light everyday. Moksha loves to play with her catnip mice, and she runs around the house holding them in her mouth, often dropping them at our feet proudly.

One day, Moksha ran out of the house, and when she returned, her ear had been injured and we never figured out what actually happened. This accident resulted in an ear hematoma (cauliflower ear) which has persisted for a number of years, and our vet has run out of options for treatment. Moksha is suffering from constant inflammation and pain now, as the condition has grown worse. Although we've tried our very best to help her, our hearts are broken to see her suffer.

The vet referred us to a specialized veterinary surgeon, who will remove her whole ear canal and ear flap. The surgeon has given us a quote of $4370.05.

Although this is an invasive surgery, it is our great hope that Moksha will completely recover and be able to live a full life of happiness.

Lenny and I are a couple in our mid-sixties and have always loved and cared for cats. I have also worked with a cat rescue group in the past. To us, our cats are like children that never grow up and go to college - our happiness is deeply connected with the happiness of our cats.
