Joyce and Cico (I) are a couple from China, currently living in Amsterdam. Joyce is writer and journalist, Cico is a philosopher of human minds, mathematician and computer scientist.
In 2018, we (my wife and I) set up an initiative called Mindiverse to spread the message of mindfulness and compassion, to promote the well-being. We have been giving free offline meditation sessions (click the link for more info) combined with Buddhist philosophy, Taoism, neurophilosophy and Krishnamurti's teaching and making videos on Youtube (Mindiverse Youtube Channel). This project was started because of our observance of people's suffering in all kinds of ways and our own experience of dehumanization. If the society lacks the compassion and only focuses on egos and profits, everyone is only unhappy, which challenges the meaning of life. To help people out of this situation, we set up such an initiative to let people turn inward and observe their own mind to understand themselves, then people will have their wisdom to end trouble and suffering.
In 2019, we have been offering 50+ meditation offline sessions and quite a few YouTube videos for free; to make this possible, only only do we volunteer our energy and time, but also we have invested a lot in the equipment and material, which all comes out of own pocket.
To make this project more sustainable so as to benefit more people, we are inviting you to support his project. All the donation and financial support will go to the program directly.
The money will be used to invest in some equipment such as a video camera and audio equipment that could support better capture of the offline meditation session (1500 euros) and online video making (e.g. a series of videos for the very beginners); all kinds of material, drinks and food for each offline session (500 euros, 10 euros per session, 50 sessions.) in the coming year.
