Support Mills College Students

Current students at Mills College are struggling to meet their basic needs in the midst of major organizational turmoil, lack of fundamental support from the college, and COVID. Their passion and diversity are touted by the College as its greatest asset, but the administration is failing tremendously at giving them the support they need during this transition period. They are receiving little to no aid to support their activism, living expenses, or transition plans in the event the school stops offering degrees. Mills College tries to recruit students from diverse backgrounds, but the administration is currently failing to offer the support for the students it claims to value.
We think that the needs of the students should come first and foremost in any path forward for Mills, and we want to offer them support to help fulfill Mills values, even if the school itself cannot right now. Please give what you can to support them. These funds will go directly to students at Mills, distributed through an application reviewed by a committee of students and alums. We will support immediate short-term needs via this fundraiser, and then work to fund longer-term needs for students throughout this entire transition process, no matter what outcome occurs for the Mills College as a degree-granting institution. Applications for the fund will come soon, we need to get a fund developed first.
* We are seeking 501(c)(3) status. Unfortunately, donations may not be tax deductible at this time. We are actively working to resolve this.
