Support Merfelds during Trey’s cancer treatment

Trey Lewis Merfeld, the  sweetest, most beautiful baby boy was born on February 16, 2020 to the most loving parents, Chase and Kristi Merfeld.  2 weeks into parenthood, Chase and Kristi found some abnormal patches of skin on Trey’s abdomen. After a biopsy, Trey was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia at just 2.5 weeks old. 

Sweet Trey will need 6-9 months of chemotherapy for 7-10 days each month. He likely will not be able to go home in between chemo treatments, as the risk of infection is so high. Trey and his parents will be living in the hospital during the next 6-9 months, and will need all of their strength and energy to be with their precious baby as he undergoes treatment. The family has a long road ahead.
