Support Mema

My mom Marilyn (we call her Mema) had brain cancer.   She passed away on  the morning of the 26th January 2019.  Her husband Andy was playing guitar and singing one of the songs she had written and when he finished she took her last breath.  She made her way through the final journey with cancer with such a positive and appreciative spirit that she was an inspiration to all of us.  She walked every day for much of her final year - still enjoying the birds, leaves, bugs, animal tracks -all of the things she always appreciated in her everyday life.  She smiled every day.  She loved with a huge heart every day.

This fund is a way for us to appreciate Mema, and to continue to appreciate her and those everyday moments of her life by sharing with others.  The money raised here is donated to the Fisher Home, which was so amazingly wonderful during the last days. The Craft Emergancy Relief Fund which helps craft artists in emergencies like studio fires, floods, etc. The Cooperative Fund of New England which gives loans to worker and consumer cooperatives. And Quabbin Mediation which is the organization your mom worked under when she taught her anger management classes to people on probation.
