Support Megan’s Cancer and IVF Journey

As many of you know, my sister Megan went in for surgery to remove a large mass on her ovary about a month ago. Unfortunately, that surgery resulted in a stage 2 ovarian cancer diagnosis, the loss of her right ovary, and a plan to remove the left ovary and uterus in a second surgery in the very near future. This situation has forced Megan and Nick to make many immediate decisions regarding their family planning, long before they intended to. Thankfully, they got the news that eggs can be harvested from her remaining ovary prior to its removal, and they will be starting IVF treatments this week for a first round. Their fertility doctor is recommending two rounds of IVF for the best chance of them having their own biological children. Sadly, insurance will not be covering the process and as you can imagine, it is very expensive and this was not part of their plan. This is something that is very private and personal for the both of them but we wanted to gather some of their closest friends and family together in a group to see if we could help cover some of the medical expenses they are now facing. We are so grateful for all that want to show their love and support to Megan and Nick throughout this journey ♥️
