In the midst of the Covid-19 epidemic, I want to help, to contribute to my community. To me, this means baking my classic American desserts for the Brussels’ medical community who are giving so much to treat their patients. The doctors, nurses and other hospital staff deserve to be “treated” with extra sweetness, too!
I have just delivered my first donation to Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc in Brussels and have plans for weekly dessert donations! With holidays coming up, I think this time is especially important.
I am baking individual portions of cookies and cupcakes. In some cases, I might bake cakes, especially my Carrot Layer Cake & my Mom’s Chocolate Layer Cake!
I want to give as many desserts as I can on a regular basis. With your help, I could do even more! Here’s how I see it:
-The hospital gets homemade, free American desserts from me
-I am happy to cover half the costs and deliver them each week to the hospital (with ❤️and a smile....)
-I would be grateful if my customers, family and friends could contribute the other half.
My plan is to deliver an equivalent of +/-200€ worth of my home-made desserts each week. If this ends up being more, all the better for the medical community!
