Support Mathews Family Rebuild

Like so many others in our area, my brother-in-law and his wife, John & Frances Mathews, suffered a significant loss when their home filled with 4 feet of flood waters due to Hurricane Florence.  Their home is located in Atkinson, NC, near the Black River, and was not considered to be in a flood zone, therefore, they did not have flood insurance in place.  They are in the process of tearing out the damaged property in order to prevent further loss and are  finding that very few of their contents can be salvaged.  Our family truly appreciates everyone who has reached out with their support, prayers, and offers to help. 

Now that they have been able to access their home and assess the damage, we believe that financial contributions will provide them the greatest immediate benefit, as they are faced with being displaced for an undetermined amount of time, making extensive repairs to the sheet rock, flooring, and cabinet fixtures.  In addition to the repairs to their home, they will also have to replace clothes, furniture, and other household goods. 

While all of their material items can be replaced, we are most grateful for their safety and that they are here for us to support through this journey.  We greatly appreciate any and all of your contributions to help get this family back in their home!
