Support Marian's family in sad time

Join us in the urgent battle Marian is waging on THE BIG C.  These funds will help in keeping quality in her life during this challenging time for Marian and her twin, Loretta.  The help is needed NOW for Marian as she is battling cancer again in a bigger way.

We all know that CANCER not only has costly medical needs but it can affect lost wages and much more.  Any amount you contribute is appreciated. It’s amazing how contributions of $5, $10, $25 can add up. These funds will take some stress out of Marian and Loretta’s life at this challenging time. They have had numerous hardships and just like others they have pushed through it. Cancer has been beaten by both of them before and so it has taken it's toll in many ways.

These twin sisters only have each other, no family of note to lean on.  As their friend and fellow dog lover for over 30 years we have spent holidays and more in each other’s company. I’ve been torn about how to help as my family can only assist in minor ways. Plus local dog club members also want to do more to help. Hence, this fundraising page is being created to hopefully assist them with some funds so they can pay for living expenses, any treatments, prescriptions and care, etc. that are needed for Marian as she fights this. We know that the dog communities as well as wonderful friends, acquaintances and others we reach out to have generous hearts. if you can contribute any dollar amount whatsoever it would be appreciated

A little about Marian and Loretta-

For those of us that are fortunate enough to call Marian and Loretta friends or have had the opportunity to work with them at an employer, a dog club or at a show, we know that they are dedicated and hard working.  Always private and in the background they’re not ones to be in the spotlight. So you may not have noticed them as you interacted at work, dog shows and trials even as they were the hardest worker bees. 

They have been dedicated dog lovers for over 40 years. Marian has owned and trained Pomeranians (Poms) whereas Loretta has the Shetland Sheepdogs. Both have had conformation Champions and have earned so many Obedience titles it is hard to track and helped others to do the same. Both have been stewards for the obedience ring for multiple breeds.

Marian has been a member of the APC -  American Pomeranian Club since 1975 as well Pom clubs in Indiana and Iowa. Loretta and Marian both belong to Chicagoland Shetland Sheepdog Club since 1979 and Fox Valley Training Club since 1991. Loretta has been an American Shetland Sheepdog Club (ASSA) member since 1990 and has become an Obedience judge.  They are hardworking dog show club committee members and also been officer or board members numerous times.

Can I support them in other ways?
Yes, you can. The best way is to tell others because every dollar helps! But of course your own form of prayers are also welcomed.  They are not alone in this fight and it’s time to show them that we’re fighting behind them.
