Support Local Black Owned Business!

Hello Friends! This is an immediate way to help support Black Women in Business. Namast'ay Beading needs your help to get start-up costs together. Everything from securing the LLC to being able to order materials ahead of time. If you aren't already versed in the inequities that face Black women when starting a business, there is a decent article you can refer to at the end of this. Owner Ebonie Buckingham is a talented and dedicated woman who is working tirelessly to raise the funds but it will take a long time. She is an artist, a lover of people,and a wonderful mother with the heart of a warrior. She needs support and community now. Let's lift her up.

"Yet despite the hustle, minority women are being shut out when it comes to access to capital. According to the Federal Reserve System’s 2016 Small Business Credit Survey, black women are more likely than their non-minority peers to identify access to credit as a challenge. They also reported being less likely to receive some or all of the financing they requested. Indeed, the Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy has found that women and minority business owners are denied loans and pay higher interest rates than white counterparts, even after controlling for factors such as credit score."
