Lissy's Fight Against Stage 3 Thyroid Cancer (my Niece )

As most mothers, Lissy puts everyone before her. She even delayed getting the nodule in her neck checked. Everyone else always came before her but thank God she did get it checked. Unfortunately, she was just diagnosed with stage 3 thyroid cancer and they are looking into how much it has spread. Since her kids are now all school age, she just started a full time job (third shift so can still see them off to school), but that now may be in jeopardy. I have never known anyone to sacrifice herself for others more than Lissy.

She will need a total thyroid removal plus removing the mass then a neck dissection to remove the lymph nodes. First Surgery is scheduled for October 29th and it will be a 3 day stay in hospital. Then she will need iodine chemo treatment 3-6 months after surgery to kill any remaining cells. Another concern is she will have to quarantine away from her kids/family and anyone for a week after she takes the radiation pill ☢️ and as she suffers the effects of treatment by herself I couldn’t imagine the added torture of her hearing the kids on the other side of the door and her not being able to be with them along with everything else she will have on her mind.

I was hoping to initially collect enough to maybe set her up in a hotel for the first quarantine week round of treatment. ✨

I hope and pray she gets through the surgery, treatments, etc… that she will have more memories than her last child just starting school. ✨ please give if you can and please keep her in all positive thoughts and prayers. ✨ Family name Nilda but she is our Lissy
