Support Leifa and Brett's Hospital Costs

Hi, my name is Mary-Ellen, and I'm raising funds for Brett and Leifa to help them with the financial burden they are experiencing. 

Leifa and Brett were successful in an embryo transfer after much heartache over an unknown genetic abnormality that likely caused their unexplained fertility explained how all but two of their embryos were non-viable. Luckily their embryo stuck but things haven’t been easy. Leifa has posted updates but to summarize: lots of hemorrhaging, off work, miscarriage, wait! Not miscarriage! Happiness! Bad morning sickness, more missed work, out of sick time, so happy to be pregnant and taking it in stride.

Things went from difficult to worse. Leifa’s water broke this week and she is only 31.5 weeks pregnant. She is now an inpatient on the Antepartum unit until she delivers which doctors hope won’t be for two months. 

Brett and Leifa have posted health updates on Facebook but what they haven’t posted is a fundraising update. They have given me permission to do so. I am here to ask for the community’s support so that Brett can focus his spare time on Leifa and their baby girl and have one less stress during this time. 

I’ve made a goal of $20,000 bearing in mind that the $8000 raised previously went to helping with their IVF costs which were over $20,000 total.
