Help Linda Leazott-Dziuk's kidney donor and Linda

Hi, my name is Michelle and I am Linda's daughter. This request if not easy for me to write. I do know that without setting this up, someone who might be interested in helping won't have that opportunity. Our family wants to help raise funds to help the living donor and Mom with all the noncovered costs associated with a kidney transplant. We want to help the donor with time off work, travel expenses, lodging for their loved ones and anything else that comes up.

Looking ahead, I see a long road for Mom. She will need to be on lots of medications after her kidney transplant. The frustrating thing is that she will lose her health insurance 3 months after her transplant. Then she will need to get a secondary insurance. Yes, she gets kicked off the insurance for receiving a good kidney. She will need enough money to cover 100 pills a day!!!! They are very expensive pills. With help we can ease the worries of both mom and her soon to be donor.

Mom is a wonderful person and never asks for help from others but is always the first to show up to help others. She suffers from kidney failure. She is in stage 4. Kidneys are vital organs just like the heart, lung and liver. They clean the blood, help control blood pressure, help make red blood cells, and keep bones healthy. She inherited polycystic kidney disease from her father. She's been living with it her entire life and started off on dialysis 9 hours a night every day. Currently, she is reduced to 5 hours with 6 cycles every night. It makes her very weak and quality of life changes with each passing day. She has made many positive lifestyle changes to her diet and everything she was told to do by her doctors. She is a very good patient and does exactly what she is suppose to do. Linda has kids and grandkids that she wants to be here to watch grow. Mom has so much more love to give!!!

Linda needs a new kidney, and we hope you will consider being tested to be a donor. She has been on dialysis and waiting for a match for almost 4 years. I know this is a big request but I make it on behalf of someone who devotes every day of her life to making a difference to her family and friends.
