ከዲጃ ኣደም ሓንቲ ካብቶም ህቡባትን ዓበይቲ ጽልዋ ዘለዎምን ደረፍቲ ቋንቋን ባህልን ትግረ እያ። ከዲጃ - ኣብ ብረታዊ ቃልሲ ኤርትራ ዝተጋደለትን ነታ ፍትውቲን ህብብቲን ደርፊ "እምበል ወጠን" እትበሃል ደርፊ ዘካፈለትና ሓብቲ እያ:: ኣብ ዝሓለፈ ዓመታት ካብ ባህሊ ትግረን ሰውራን ዝመንጨወ ልዕሊ ሚእቲ መዝሙራት ኣውጺኣ እያ ።

ሎሚ ከዲጃ ተጸሊኡዋ - ናይ ዓንዲ ሕቖ መጥባሕቲ ኣብ ዓዲ ህንዲ ክትገብር ናይ ግድን ስለዘድልያ: ኩልና ሓቢርና ክንሕግዛን ወጻኢታታ ክንሽፍንን ኩልና ኢደይ ኢድካ ብምባል ኣብ ተዳልዩ ዘሎ" ጎ ፋንድሚ "( fund raise ) ክንሕግዛ - ከነዋፅእ ብትሕትና ንሓትት።

Final Kedija Adam's Critical Spinal-Cord Surgery Fundraiser

Kedija Adem, is one of our most popular and influential Eritrean vocalists of Tigre songs.

Kedija is currently seriously ill and needs critical spinal cord surgery to be performed in India. We are asking everyone to come together to help raise funds and support her with the high cost of the surgery, recovery, and travel accommodations through GoFundMe.

Kedija is a veteran of the Eritrean armed struggle for independence, renowned for one of the most famous Tigre songs in Eritrea - Imbel Weten. Over the years, she has released more than one hundred songs inspired by Tigre culture, the revolution, and the displacement of the Eritrean people.

Experiencing Kedija on stage is an incredible experience of shared pride and wonder. Her artistic talent and impactful messages have immensely contributed to the Eritrean people’s unity, resistance, and attain freedom against all odds. Kedija walked her words. She was married to the martyr and popular poet and writer Isias Tsegay and has four children. Through her marriage, she has transcended religious differences and taught us that love and mutual respect are above all divides.

Kedija never fails to arouse strong emotions, joy, and pride in her audience. Her songs and messages reveal the essence of the Eritrean culture, and unveil the hope, joy, passion, love, strength, and challenges of the Eritrean people. She impels all to stand up for freedom, peace, and social justice, and build a dignified and prosperous nation. Her songs are always timeless, influential, and meaningful.

Kedija is a widely acclaimed artist and singer both locally and internationally. She has not only played a critical role in contemporary Eritrean music but has taken the lead in generating music as one of the first Eritrean female artists who broke through conventional female roles in the arts. Kedija has also opened the door for others to sing about patriotism, love, relationships, and sensuality. Her song lyrics glorified the proud images of liberated Eritrean woman working hard for social change and emancipation alongside female fighters from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds and their male counterparts.
