HELP KATHERINE BEAT BREAST CANCER
Katherine was diagnosed with breast cancer (invasive ductal carcinoma) in September.
Although her overall prognosis is good, her treatment needs to be aggressive. In addition to the plan for 17 rounds of chemotherapy (6 prior to surgery, and 11 following), she is waiting to receive the results of gene therapy testing – this will help determine whether or not a bi-lateral mastectomy is necessary.
This said, anyone who knows her knows that Katherine is and always has been a fighter. She brings to this battle a true determination to beat cancer, and her incredibly strong faith to help her through the most difficult times.
Katherine’s treatment has started, and its clear that costs associated with this fight will be substantial. Uber will need to take the place of public transportation after chemotherapy sessions. Medication changes for her diabetes diagnosis are resulting in increased co-pays. Most supplemental treatments will not be covered by health insurance.
I ask, on Katherine’s behalf, for your help. Prayers and positive energy are most welcome, but financial support is also needed. Katherine has been there for us -planning family events, looking after children, helping us get to appointments, etc... Its an opportunity for us to help - when she needs us most! Your donations will directly combat costs associated with treatments, and allow Katherine to focus on the most important thing – getting healthy!
