Support Jose's Fight Against Cancer

On April 28, 2020, after just a few weeks of having severe neck and stomach pains that were unexplained, Jose was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), an aggressive form of blood cancer. The very next week, Jose began an intense regimen of induction chemotherapy at the City of Hope and will continue several rounds until a "remission" state and cure is achieved. At that point, he will most likely need to receive a Bone Marrow Transplant, followed by additional chemotherapy and treatment. As you can imagine, this has taken a huge toll on the family emotionally, physically, and financially.

A few weeks prior to receiving this devastating diagnosis about her husband, Jose’s wife, Sabrina, also lost her job due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Jose and his family are facing significant financial hardship due to the medical co-pays, prescriptions, and missed work.

We are setting up this fund to help the family cover current and upcoming medical expenses that are not covered by their insurance, as well as their daily living expenses. Jose is unable to work due to his illness and treatment, and with Sabrina losing her job, the family is not only dealing with this overwhelming and heart-rendering set back, but also a major loss of income.
