In the evening of November 30th, our friend Joe Pipkin was accosted by three or four individuals near his home in Durham, NC. These individuals physically assaulted him.
The good news is that Joe will be ok; his injuries will heal, and he has a supportive community of friends that will be there for him.
Unfortunately, he may not be able to work for as much as a month, and has some significant medical expenses from the emergency room visit.
Joe isn't asking for help; that's not his style. But Joe still deserves our help, so I'm asking. I don't know what the medical expenses are, but I figure we can raise money to help with those, rent, and food while he can't work.
Anything helps; it doesn't have to be much, or even be money. Let Joe know we care, share with others, and let's make sure we do what we can to take care of our friend!
