Support Joe Payne

Good evening!  I know this is a longer read so please bear with me!This is Joe Nelson as many of you know I’m not good at social media etc. That being said one of our own needs our help! Joe Payne and his girlfriend Rachel and the kids have had a rough go of it this past year. To start out with their first home along with many other homes flooded and they had to relocate and rent a home in another part of town in Dayton, Ohio. Yesterday, while out running errands the received a call that the home they were renting was on fire. It was an electrical fire. I’ve attached some pictures. They lost one of their family cats in the fire the other pets seem to be doing ok. As you all know Joe is a contractor, his tools are his livelihood. Just about all of his tools were destroyed in the fire as well. Not to mention furniture etc. There is no rental insurance on the home, so they have to come out of pocket and this year has been a tough one with the flood last year and many other life items that have mounted up. I’m not going to write a novel here, but we have one of our own who needs help. I got Joe’s voicemail today and when I called him back, he wasn’t even looking to see if I could help him out directly, he was simply looking for some contact numbers to help get his ducks in a row. Once I got the gist of what was happening, I knew that I needed to ask you all for help because that’s not Joe Payne’s style. As a United States Marine and a man, he’s got a won’t quit can’t fail attitude as you all know. Joey (I call him that yeah) has been a brother to me and many of you in some really tough times in our lives. I created a Gofundme page with a goal to reach $7,000.00. This won’t cover everything they need but will enable to get them there much quicker. The funds will be used to:

1: Replace Joes Tools

2: Help with Temporary lodging

3: Food

4: replace essential household items, appliances and furniture

There is ZERO pressure and or guilt. My game plan is to get this info into as many people in our community as possible. If we get a lot of people to give a little, we will be able to hit our goal. I’m using Gofundme as it’s a platform many of you are familiar with. I’m really not on social media but many of the brothers will be posting this for me over the next couple of days. I humbly ask that if possible, you do 3 things.

1)Keep Joey and Rachel and family in your thoughts and prayers.

2)Repost/Share this post with anyone you feel comfortable with (anyone from Bravo Company and 1/1 especially. Sharing this info is a key to hitting our goal.

3)Donate if you are willing/ able (again no pressure please only give if and what you feel comfortable)
