Support Jenifer and her family

On Saturday, February 27th, Jenifer, Jesse, and their dog Sierra were driving home from a day spent with friends hiking around Santa Cruz when they were struck by a drunk driver, about four miles from their home in Half Moon Bay. Jenifer sustained injuries to her face, knees, and wrists, and is recovering at home with her family. Sierra was in critical condition with severe internal bleeding, head trauma, and a dislocated hip,  but is on the mend now. 

Jesse did not survive the crash. He had just had his 32nd birthday two days prior. 

We are heartbroken by this sudden tragedy that has hit our family so unexpectedly. Jesse was a light to so many people. He was a beloved friend, husband, son, brother, coach, teacher, and so much more to all the lives he touched. He will be missed beyond words. 

The shining light in this darkness is that Jenifer is carrying their baby, and despite this tragic event, both mom and baby are healthy and stable. They are surrounded by family as they recover. 

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help Jenifer cover the costs associated with raising a child as she will be the beneficiary. While nothing can replace the loss of her husband and father of her child, we hope that these funds will ease the pain and take away some of the financial burden.
