Hi my name is Jazmine and I want to help fundraise for my employee Jacobi. As a small business owner, I've had the privilege of witnessing the dedication and hard work of one of our own, Jacobi. She's not just an employee; she's a vital part of our team and someone we deeply care about.

Recently, Jacobi received devastating news: she's been diagnosed with Stage 3A breast cancer. The road ahead is uncertain, with a treatment plan that includes 5-6 months of chemotherapy, a likely double mastectomy, and radiation. Jacobi is not just a young mother, but also a dedicated professional, a driven student, and an active supporter of everyone around her. With a young son, Syre, relying on her, let's come together to support Jacobi as she bravely battles breast cancer.

But that's not all. The urgency of her situation also comes with a hefty financial burden. Jacobi needs immediate funds totaling $6000 for egg retrieval and storage. With the aggressive nature of her treatment, there's a high risk of losing all her eggs within just two rounds of chemotherapy. Her cancer is estrogen-fed, meaning she'll be put on estrogen-blocking medications and will likely experience early menopause.

As an independent contractor, Jacobi doesn’t qualify for disability or any other traditional benefits/recourse. For this reason we have increased the initial goal. Our secondary goal is to alleviate financial stress and burden during chemo. As Jacobi prepares to embark on this challenging journey, she faces uncertainty about how chemotherapy will affect her ability to work, a burden I don’t want her to bare in this season of her life. She needs our support now more than ever.
