Hartford County Tattoo is a family run business that has served our community for 17 years in Bristol, CT.   During that time, our artists and clients have become our extended family.  Due to the Coronavirus, we were forced to close our doors on March 21st and were one of the first studios to be closed in CT.  We are in a unique situation where we don't qualify for any unemployment.  The studio owner has special needs children and works a lower-paying job in addition to tattooing to provide medical insurance for medical bills that total in the thousands. The studio provides the bulk of the income for the family. Because he works for health benefits, he cannot apply for unemployment. The studios coronavirus PPP loan to keep our employees on payroll will run out of funds very soon.  The amount of the PPP loan we received was strictly to pay employees and doesn't cover anything else let alone providing for feeding our family.  We have received little financial relief and have continued to pay our full rent, utilities, security, merchant fees, insurance, etc (which add up to thousands of dollars a month), to make sure our artists and clients have a studio to return to.    On top of continuing to pay expenses, we have been purchasing hundreds of dollars of required PPE supplies to ensure proper protective equipment is available for our artists and client's safety when we are allowed to return to work.   The current pace of spending with no revenue is unsustainable if we do not open soon.  We know many people are in similar or worse financial situations right now or have lost a loved one from this virus.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and we ask that you please do not donate if it would place any financial burden on you.  To those who do wish to help us out, we are forever grateful.
