Support Girls in STEM in Zambia

Hai, I am the founder of a women-led organization called ZAMWILL. Our mission is to build a generation of empowered, skilled, innovative and assertive girls and young women for a better tomorrow. I am fundraising to support a STEM-focused hackathon project for girls from communities like the one I grew up in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia.

ZAMWILL recognizes that talent is created equally, but opportunity is not, which is why through our Girls Hackathon project, we're partnering with both local and international organizations and individuals to create these opportunities for the girls. Many of whom are disproportionately affected by the consequences of child marriages, health and education inequity, as well as climate change.

Right now, we are aiming to reduce disparities and promote shared success in our society, betting early on women innovators and collaborative efforts to increase the competitiveness of their ideas and prototypes.

ZAMWILL is collaborating with the Zambia Ministry of Education. Through the support of the Copperbelt District Education Board of Ndola, we are reaching out to brilliant young girls and women who are eager to build a better world through innovation and technology and who will participate in our hackathon.

Your donation will go towards the following:

• Development of training tools for the school teachers in the participating schools

• Purchase of ICT equipment for the hackathon

• Ongoing professional development support for each of the schools

What we do as ZAMWILL:

• connect young women and girls to opportunities and pathways for leadership and growth;

• train young people in entrepreneurial skills development;

• incubate innovative women-led ideas, projects and businesses.
