Support Gabby Butler and her family

Hi, my name is Jennifer Fitting and I am helping to raise funds for an amazing young woman and her family. What started out as a stomach virus had turned into something that we do not have answers for. Recently she was transferred from regular hospital care at CT Children's Medical Center to an integrated care unit on a different floor so that they can continue to try to figure out what is going on and to try more and different doses of medication that will hopefully put her on the right path.

Gabby is a high achiever with all she does. Part of her story includes being a scholar athlete where she plays soccer and basketball for Middletown High school as well as the FSA premier soccer club. She is also a musician having played the flute for many years and most recently added playing trombone to her musical repertoire with the Middletown Performing Arts Center at MHS. Such a bright light it is painful to hear that Gabby goes in and out of different states of awareness and mobility. At times, she is able to understand, smile, speak brief sentences, and walk up and down the halls. At other times she doesn't seem to hear, can't speak and can't move.

The doctors are a bit perplexed; they can't say yet with certainty, what this is, what category of illness this is, or what caused it, even though it seems like they have done every imaginable test.

Gabby is the middle of 3 children to 2 of the most amazing parents. Raising money will allow the Butler family to focus on Gabbys’s healing while they try to continue with their daily lives.
