I'm the full-time caregiver for my father, Freddie Gaines. He had a major stroke on April 25, 2025. He's recovering well, but we've hit several bumps and snags on this road and I am struggling daily to care for Dad largely on my own.

This gofundme is to help with the cost of his ongoing care and to help me with some much needed relief (hiring some help even for a few hours each week is just way out of our budget).

Dad started acupuncture treatments a couple of weeks ago, and I'm very hopeful that it will help in his recovery. It just isn't covered by his insurance. I don't want to deny him anything that may give him a positive outcome in his recovery. Each treatment costs $110.
