The Russian war on Ukraine rages on and 12 million people - nearly one third of Ukrainians - have been forced to flee their homes. Millions of others are living in constant fear of attack. They urgently need food, medical help, and other types of support. Even in the most dire situations, local youth organisations are the first ones to respond and to assist their communities. They use their local connections and knowledge to make sure that help reaches the ones who need it the most.
The European Youth Forum is proud to support its member organisation, the National Youth Council of Ukraine (NYCU) and other youth organisations in Ukraine and in the neighbouring countries. The National Youth Council of Ukraine was established in 2015 with the aim to strengthen democratic youth organisations, to protect and to represent young people.
All funds raised within this campaign will be used to support the National Youth Council of Ukraine and its members that work directly with Ukraine's youth.
By supporting this campaign, you can help us deliver:
1) Urgently needed products, such as canned food, soap, shampoo, baby formula, toothpaste, shaving kits, and hygienic products for women and babies, especially in the territories close to the frontline of the war.
2) Support for young activists who are not able to return home, including places to work or sleep in, food and first aid supplies.
3) Technical and administrative support for the work of local youth organisations (e.g. support with paying the office rent, utilities, office equipment).
4) Financial support for young activists who lost their jobs due to the war.
Your support will help keep Ukraine's civil society working during the war, so that it is still there to help rebuild the country in the future!
NYCU will share more detailed information on how the funding is used on their official social media channels and through newsletters.
