Support for Urmil Divecha's Family

Words ring hollow to write this and seems like an alternate universe where Urmil is no more. He fought hard right till the end to beat the impossible odds of recovering where even the best doctors were struggling to keep hope.
A massive heart attack followed by cardiac arrest on Tuesday, 11/10/2020 at 7:30 PM, picked Urmil Divecha just 42 years of age from the dining-table at his home in San Antonio, Texas and landed him into an ER followed by ICU of the Methodist Hospital where even after multiple operations and treatment, he had to be kept alive with the help of several machines. As his organs continued to fail and his condition deteriorated everyday there was very little hope for his recovery. Desperation of Urmil’s wife Vaishali was unbearable to witness as she hung onto Doctor’s every word through the gut wrenching ups and downs in the few past terrifying days, but unfortunately he lost the battle on 11/15/2020 at 3:39 PM CST.
Urmil Divecha, the dependable friend, colleague, relative we have all known was a reserve of the best humanity has to offer. Unaware of the turn his life was about to take, he was everything we all want to be, a loving husband, a caring father, a trustworthy colleague. For us friends, he was the place to go for advice and counsel, a shoulder we’d rather have next to us in difficult times. Passionate about fitness especially biking, which he did even the day his heart failed him, it seems almost impossible that this could happen to him.
But the truth today again is stranger than any of us could imagine and puts us where losing Urmil is only a part of the crisis. Urmil’s family is now suddenly left with no support as he solely supported both his family and his parents who depended on him for their subsistence. While daily subsistence itself will be a challenge, the medical costs will destroy their lives. Urmil’s daughter Ritu is a very bright and talented student, it is unthinkable that we stand by and watch this misfortune destroy her future. Urmil was a giver, he lived by the adage ‘You get out of life what you put into it’, perhaps it is something we all need to acknowledge today and come together to pull this young family out of distress.
We appeal to everyone reading this to help us in this compelling cause by generously donating to this fund to the best of your ability. Your generosity here will help with incurred medical costs, ensure the well being of this loving family and build Ritu's future.
