Support for the Saenz family

My name is Betsy Vajtay, and I'm organizing this fundraiser for my colleague, Cruz Saenz, and her family. We work together at "I and love and you". She has also become a dear friend over the years. The family will use funds to help with immediate needs: furnishing new apartment, necessities, toiletries, vehicles, etc.

 

As we all know, there was a devastating "wildfire" in Boulder County that started yesterday and swept through suburbia with over 100mph winds. It took out entire neighborhoods in both Louisville and Superior. Several of us bordered these towns and were also on pre-evacuation notice. Gratefully, everyone is safe.

 

Sadly, our very own Cruz Saenz, her husband, Segundo, and their three boys: Tani, Nico, and Santi, lost their home in Superior. They are currently visiting family in Argentina, and heartbreakingly will be coming back to a pile of ash. Their house was said to be the last to burn in the Rock Creek area of Superior.

Every memento, photo, clothing, art, pantry item, toiletry, pot & pan, and more are gone. Thankfully, they are alive, and their beloved dog, India, is also safe with neighbors.
