Support for the Hartner Family

We are heartbroken by the news of the unexpected death of FFIII James Hartner’s son “Beckett James Hartner” on 1/2/2020.  

For those who are not personally acquainted with FF Hartner, affectionately known to many as “Chettt”, and is assigned to Fire Station 3 (S. Market Street) on A-shift. When FF Hartner is not at work he dedicates his life to his family and friends. He is a lover of the outdoors, woodworking, fishing, and can often be seen toting his kids to school on the golf cart. His life is defined by his love for his wife Lexi, and his three surviving daughters: Anslea (9), Addison (7), and Olivia (5). His time is spent supporting their many interests including: 4-H, animal showing, cheering for Middletown football-even traveling to Annapolis for the State 3A championship, plays, soccer, and much more.

Beckett came in with a bang on June 26, 2017 and has been a force to be reckoned with ever since. He was a fun loving, energetic, fearless, and adventurous young boy that kept his parents on their toes. He loved fire trucks, cowboy boots, his cat Cali, and any mischief he could find. He loved his sisters more than anything, keeping up with them from the day he was born, chasing them around, stealing their donuts, and begrudgingly being their human baby doll.

As the family grieves the unimaginable loss of their son, Beckett James Hartner, let us show our support to Brother Hartner by coming together as family, friends, a division, and as a community. The funds raised will be used to offset the cost of the funeral and other unforeseen expenses the family may encounter in the coming days and months following this tragic event.
