This fundraiser has been started for our dear friends, Mike and Vanessa.
3 years ago Mike had surgery for a serious condition. Following the surgery Mike has experienced significant pain, difficulty walking and performing daily tasks and is unable to work.
This situation has left Vanessa as the sole provider for a family of 3. Unfortunately Mike and Vanessa had to sell their dream home to help cover their cost of living and medical expenses. In addition to all of this their son has medical needs of his own, making the entire situation extremely difficult for their family.
Mike has seen many doctors and as of this date no answers or solutions have been found. The Alberta Health Care system has been unable to provide answers or solutions, despite the family exhausting every option and service available. We are currently looking into treatment in the USA, which we know will be very expensive.
We have started this fundraiser to help the family with any medical costs that will be incurred from seeking treatment in USA. We believe that you can not put a price on a life and do not want costs to be a barrier for treatment.
In the event that we are unable to find the solution across the border, all money will go directly to Mike and Vanessa to help with their cost of living and medical expenses.
Mike and Vanessa are two of the most amazing and strongest people we know. Any amount will help alleviate their stress. We appreciate any and all help and thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts.
