Support for the family of Majd Yared

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED.  WE ARE OVERWHELMED BY THE GENEROSITY AND LOVE EVERYONE HAS GIVEN.  WE ARE CLOSING THE FUNDRAISER AS ELEN FEELS SHE HAS ADEQUATE FUNDING FOR HER FAMILY'S NEEDS.   SHE IS SO GRATEFUL FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT.

Majd and his wife Elen and their two young daughters came to Canada as Syrian refugees to have a better and safer life. They have both worked very hard to create a new home in Lethbridge, Alberta and to become part of the community.

In mid-October, Majd was diagnosed with Covid-19, became very ill  and was admitted to the ICU in Lethbridge. Despite his will to live, he passed away on October 27th, leaving behind his family.

Majd worked very hard to get established in Canada after leaving almost everything behind in Syria. Despite that, it is going to be a very difficult time for his family. Any donation you can make, even $5, will help Elen cover the cost of a funeral and support their daughters.

Majd was a loving father and husband and brought great joy to everyone he met. We will miss his huge smile and happy spirit. We love you Majd, please pray for all of us from heaven!
