Let’s Love on Stephanie

Stephanie is a lively, young 42 year old who is married to the love of her life, Mathew. She is also an incredible mother to Samuel-10, Sara Rae-9, and Will-5. She has a smile that can light up a million rooms and a personality that  will do the same. Currently though, she needs us to pour our light into her as she begins the biggest fight of her life.


A little over two months ago Stephanie started to experience headaches that were debilitating at times. After several tests, her doctor discovered that she had a brain tumor. They were sent to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida and surgery was scheduled on June 4th to remove the tumor. The surgery was considered a success, and the tumor was benign. However, the pain did not go away. On June 20th Stephanie went back to Mayo Clinic and was immediately admitted following another scan that was concerning to her doctors. 

After several tests, Stephanie has been diagnosed with Metastatic breast cancer that has traveled to the lining of her brain and her spine. She will have a PET scan tomorrow to see if it is detected in any other parts of her body. She is currently still in the hospital as the doctors are trying to control the pain that this disease is causing. Her doctors will plan the course of treatment for her cancer once they can overcome this first obstacle.

Stephanie and her family have a long road ahead of them as she begins to fight this disease.
