Support for Sankalpa Manhatara
Donation protected
On April the 7th at approximatley 6:30am 20 year old Sankalpha Mahatara was attacked, robbed and stabbed by two teenagers aged 15 and 16 that were involved with the murder of a Queenbyan Service station attendant Zeeshawn Akbar.
Sankalpha underwent multiple medical procedures and the doctor told him the injury would have likely been fatal if the knife had been longer, or had cut him a few centimetres to the left.
The physical recovery for Sankalpha will take months and the psycholigcal impact may never heal.
Sankalpha is the soul finacial support and carer for his mother who suffered a work injury in 2015 making it impossible for her to work and provide, Sankalpha at the young age of 17 had to work to help support his mother and since the incident on the 7th he has been unable to provide and the bills have been stacking up and becoming overwhelming.
It is so important Sankalpha doesn't return to work until able and completely healed but feels the pressure of needing to provide, his heart is so full of love for his mother that he is more concerned with helping her then looking after himself.
I have known Sankalpha since he was 13 years old when I began coaching him alongside my brother in Basketball. San has always been well loved, kind, caring, funny and always there to help others when in need and never fails to show his support to others.
I ask the community to please help rally together to show your love and support for this brave amazing young man.
As these finacial burdens are pilling up quickly it is important we get this raised as soon as possible so he can focus on getting better!
Thank you all so much for your kind support and well wishes, it doesn't go unnoticed and he is so glad to know he has such a strong close knit community around him
