Towards the middle of November, Nick was experiencing abdominal pain that resulted in him in need of emergency treatment at Jo Brant. The proceeding diagnosis was devastating. Nick has been diagnosed with an aggressive stage 4 esophageal metastatic cancer. In an instant his world and that of his wife Pam, his children Eve, Olivia and Jacob has been shattered. To avert extreme danger poised by potentially rupturing the mass located in his esophagus he was administered a means of receiving nutrition without the use of his throat. Shortly after he underwent emergency surgery and has since regained the ability to swallow soft food and drink water. He is about to begin his treatments Monday December the 21st to fight the cancer.
We know Nick for his amazing charisma, his infectious smile and his love for his family. Right now we are going to unite with him and show how much he means to each of us and the community by giving back. Following his diagnosis Nick and Pam have had to dedicate 100% of there time to addressing and combating this illness, taking them away from there full time jobs overnight.. The proceed generated by this Go fund me are to alleviate the heavy financial stress placed onto the family from this sudden illness and to pay for medication and related expenses.
