Helping in the time of our Nicu stay

Hi, we’ve made the decision to make this go fund me because we’ve had some people offer to help us and ask how they can help, and this is how! Everything started a couple of weeks ago with my blood pressure and swelling. My blood pressure would get up to 150/100 when I was sitting in bed doing nothing at all. After a week or two of fighting with it, I woke up to extreme back pain and a headache I'd never felt before. I went to the emergency room, and my blood pressure was in the 160/107 range. I immediately got admitted and told I was probably going to transfer, so after 3–4 hours of monitoring, I got transferred to the Women and Children’s Hospital in Lake Charles off of Nelson. They put tons of IVs in and busted multiple veins, gave me every single medicine they could, and it still didn’t help my headache or my blood pressure. At this point, I had no sleep in days and almost passed out in the hospital bathroom. My blood pressure then spiked to 183/104, and they told me they were transferring me to LSU Shreveport as soon as they could. Once we got here, we were immediately told that if my blood pressure wasn’t down in an hour or so, I would be induced. That was around 6/7pm, and by 5:28 am, we had our baby! It was unexpected and unfortunate, but we are glad that he is as healthy as a premature baby his age can be. With that being said, they plan to keep him for at least 2 weeks and plan on discharging me today since my blood pressure is back to normal. We do not want to have to leave our baby two hours away for two weeks. Anyone who has offered to help the past couple of days, we appreciate it and would appreciate it if you still do. Our biggest problem right now is finding a hotel, since they’re wanting to discharge me today! Any and everything donated will be used strictly for hotels for the next couple of weeks, groceries, gas, and some hospital bills. We obviously don’t expect anything from anyone, but thank you in advance to the ones that have helped us and continue to! We just want our baby home safe and healthy!
